Volunteer Agreement
This Volunteer Agreement describes the arrangement between the Bridge Community Project and you. We assure you of our commitment to do the very best we can to make your volunteering experience with Bridge Community Project a productive and rewarding one.
The Organisation
Your role, as a Volunteer, will be explained during your induction and is held within your role description.
Induction and training
Bridge Community Project will provide a thorough induction and training to assist you to be able to meet the responsibilities of this role.
Supervision, support and flexibility
Bridge Community Project will explain the standards we expect for our services and encourage and support you in achieving and maintaining this. We will also provide a named person who will meet with you regularly to discuss your volunteering and any successes and issues.
Expenses
Bridge Community Project will repay expenses incurred and agreed during the normal course of your role.
Insurance
Bridge Community Project will provide adequate insurance cover for volunteers whilst undertaking voluntary work for Bridge Community Project that is approved and authorised by us.
Equal opportunities
Bridge Community Project will ensure that all volunteers are dealt with in accordance with the Bridge Community Project Equal Opportunities Policy.
Problems
Bridge Community Project will try to resolve fairly any problems or difficulties you may have while you volunteer with us. In the event of an unresolved problem we will offer an opportunity to discuss the issues in accordance with the Compliments and Complaints Procedure.
Data Protection
All information obtained about you will remain confidential and will be stored securely online within our Podio database in full compliance of Data Protection legislation. By signing this form you are confirming that you are consenting to the Bridge Community Project holding and processing your personal data. This will include regular email updates on the work of the Bridge Community Project. (You can withdraw or change your consent at any time. Please note that all processing of your personal data will cease once you have withdrawn consent, other than where this is required by law).
The Volunteer
We expect you:
- To help Bridge Community Project fulfil its services
- To perform your volunteering role to the best of your ability
- To follow Bridge Community Project Policies and Procedures, including equal opportunities, in relation to staff, volunteers and clients
- To maintain the confidential information of Bridge Community Project and of its clients
- To meet time commitments and standards agreed to and to give reasonable notice so other arrangements can be made when this is not possible
This is not a contract. It is binding in honour only and can be cancelled at any time at the discretion of either party.
Neither of us intend any employment relationship to be created either now or at any time in the future.
